We provide certification in CSA approved Basic and Intermediate First Aid licensed by St. John Ambulance. Training Edge Academy is listed on the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health approval list. Evaluating First Aid Certificates Applicants seeking to provide residential care in a host family home are required to have a valid First Aid certificate as defined in this policy.
Basic First Aid training or a higher level First Aid training must be completed through a training provider who has been approved by Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health. A list of approved training providers can be found on the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health website.
We provide certification in The MANDT System. A program that builds relationships based on dignity and respect between service providers and the people they support. The Mandt program is used in many sectors like Family Services, Non-Profit Licensed homes and Corrections use this program to help build better relationships.
We provide certification in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) from Livingworks. Asist provides unique, evidence-based training that empowers individuals, organizations and communities to work together to help keep people safer from suicide.
We are dynamic in nature by offering teachings on-site, anywhere in Manitoba. The instructor will attend your location, on your employees regular scheduled working hours removing the need to impact your organization with employees travel and associated costs.

Training Edge Academy is owned operated by Robert Jessup, Oshoshkwo Binesi Ginew "Blue Thunder Eagleman". Rob has worked for Nonprofit agency for thirteen years as a Coordinator of services in Winnipeg and the Southeast Manitoba. He learned at the Circle Of life Thunderbird House in Winnipeg as the assistant to the Executive Director and helped bring Cultural Teachings and Ceremonies with Elders to the community. Doing this work has strengthened his strong family ties to our Indigenous and 'Métis’ communities in Manitoba. The name Ozaiizeh Makwa Mushkiki Mikinah means "Brown Bear Medicine Road" which was provided by our ancestors in ceremony.
